Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

A whole series of bugs has appeared after I updated my Ubuntu, installed from disk on Dec 21st. As I am not an expert I can't tell you any more, except that this occurred as I tried to put computer into hibernate for the night. Since that update (yesterday) Evolution has crashed 10 times, been "fixed" and now shows me long lists of emails received but the list can't be reduced to permit reading the emails. V. Frustrating!!

Hmm! Is obtaining a back trace something a mere user can do? I do have
an administrative password and am willing to give it a try, but I am in
Slovenia and my son in England, which leaves me working on my own. Will
the link you have provided guide me through the process? I have to
admit to being a little fearful..
