Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

When in thunderbird the rss feeds are set to automatically check at startup, the throdder (dotted-circle in uper right corner) keeps perpetually circling round, and so does the mailprogress-bar in the statusbar of the window.
This makes thunderbird pretty slow to use, it seems use some cpu-power.

When switched off, but when 'check every x minutes' turned on, it works correctly, only I have to have some patience before the first rss-entries come in.

Annoying, but not critical.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10? What about in TB 3.0 using Fabien Tassin's ppa?
