Bug Description

Binary package hint: fluxbox

Fluxbox depends on the program menu, Which is not actually required by fluxbox, Menu also has a knack for doing weird things when you dont want it too.

As we currently sync fluxbox directly from Debian with no Ubuntu specific changes, you might want to file the bug in Debian's BTS as this issue would effect them as well. Fixing it there would allow us to continue to sync the package.

Hey there, I'm one of the fluxbox guys upstream ( figure i'll start addressing Ubuntu bugs )

We do use menu to generate the fluxbox default menu. We'll look into another way, but for now I'll close this won't fix ( without prejudice ).

Your concerns are valid, and I don't disagree -- it's just how we have to set it up right now.
