noinotify kerneloption doesn't work

Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image

I tried to deactivated inotify for a test. But the kernel option noinotify doesn't work.

What I've done:
I added noinotify in grub on startup. But Inotify was still active.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?
