texlive-lang-finnish fails to configure in hardy

Is /var/lib/texmf read/writeable?

Does /var/lib/texmf/ls-R exists?

Yes, for root:

When this happened when upgrading to Hardy, I *thought* I saw this
reported already via the automatic upgrade report tool, but I can't now
find any such reports on Launchpad, so maybe I'm confusing this with
some other upgrade-related bug.

Oh, this happens on *all* the texlive-lang-* packages. Didn't realise
that at first, since I usually only have -finnish installed.
