notification area icons not responding

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I'm new and have never reported a bug before so I'll do my best.
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy. A panel I have created has been working fine but suddenly the icons in the notification area are not responding. At this time I have a rhythmbox icon and 3 compiz fusion icons in the notification area and I cannot remove them. A right click on any of these icons only displays the menu that applies to the notification area. If I remove the notification area and then add it again all the icons remain.

I have the same problem, and in the windows list (Lista de Ventanas) i only can select the first window listed, not the second one, not the third ... for the others seems like a button which doesnt allow clicks. This happens at the same time as the notification area issue descripted here.

Can someone try to reproduce that on Hardy? And also give us a few steps in order to trigger the bug? thanks.

Gutsy - If there's only one icon in the notification area it will respond normally, but additional icons do not.

without steps to reproduce it's very hardy to fix the issue for the developers, closing this bug as no useful information has been provided, feel free to re open it if you can provide us a few easy steps in order to reproduce the behavior and if you can reproduce the problem with hardy, thanks.
