Bug Description
Downloaded Alpha 3 from Daily Build, 20080111 installed on IBM NetVista
On booting up, update said there were 76 updates. On a fresh build?
This went to partial update which failed because it couldn't calculate the update.
Bug #182006 said to try sudo apt-get dist-upgrade which took maybe 20 minutes.
After that the upgrade applet went away.
Reboot, then got this crash report.
Let me know of any info that might be useful.

I installed The Alpha 3 version Ubuntu 8.04 and tried to install the partial upgrade option which it was providing.The update manager downloaded all the updates and 90% of the installation was over and in the end it showed this error message.So I don't know what to do.Please help me to fix this error.
