Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg

Flavor: Xubuntu
Version: Alpha-3

Hardware details:
------------------------
Video card: Nvidia

Details:
---------

When booting the live CD I get a screen resolution of 640x480 which isn't sufficient enough to display the first installation screen when trying to install the distribution.

I discovered that X is not writing any information about my video card in /etc/X11/xorg.conf. By bringing the system down to just a console and type "X -configure" I can copy that config file to /etc/X11/xorg.conf and have the problem corrected after restarting the X server.

** Problem has been reproduced.

It doesn't need any information for your card. Please use the autogenerated xorg.conf (create it again by running 'dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg') and attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log that you get when using it.
