Bug Description

Using 8.04 alpha3 release updated as of 1-17-08 12PM EST.
Keystrokes frequently but inconsistently are echoed. Also the gnome desktop stops responding-but that's another bug report I think.
This install is on a HP laptop dv6707us. To verify if this was not related to the above install ubuntu 7.10 was run from livecd no echoing of keystrokes was noticed.

thanks for reporting! but since this bug has been reported during alpha and not been touched since i dare to ask if it still is a problem. if it still is, please file it against a specific package so the relevant people will have a look at it...
