[Hardy] On resuming from standby the PC is reset

Bug Description
I've a medion sam2000 (96400) notebook which is pretty polular in germany since it was sold by a popular discount chain.
It has an integrated ATI chipset, output of lspci is below. When enter standby it goes to standby but on resume it always just restarts (as if I switched it on).
This doesn't work as well on feisty.
