Bus error when starting Ubuntu 7.10

Bug Description

I get this error when I start Ubuntu 7.10:

Bus error
[ (Number).(Number)] ata1.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x0
[ (Number).(Number)] ata1.00: (BMDa stat 0x25)
[ (Number).(Number)] ata1.00 cmd (Many numbers) tag 0 vdb0x0 data 4096 in

It may have something that It can't load the windows partition.

Please reopen if this is still an issue in the current Ubuntu release, Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 - http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download. If the issue remains in Jaunty, please test the latest upstream kernel build - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . To reopen the bug, click on the current status under the Status column and change the status back to "New". Thanks.
