Bug Description

Binary package hint: googleearth-package

Using Kubuntu 8.04 and googleearth-package 0.4.3:
make-googleearth-package script fails in creation of .deb package.
I am attaching a text file with the terminal output.
It seems being a problem in /googleearth-deb/DEBIAN/control file.

I confirm this bug on Hardy because in the doc attached to this package it says that running :
$ make-googleearth-package
is supposed to build a debian .deb package whereas it build an executable file (GoogleEarth.bin) to install directly though a graphical window googleearth.

Unfortunately it we select the norla root mode to install this application in /usr/local/google-earth (quite typical) for multi-users purpose it can only run in root mode ; in normal mode the connexion to the server cannot be made for some reasons.
