Status of providing SNAPS:
We were not able to create SNAPS for this release due to other priorities.
We will try to generate Package in SNAPS for next release.
Thanks !!!

@IBM: Did you considered moving the IBM Java packages in future to snaps?
Last time we provided some introductory level information (and tutorials) to get used to snaps.
But we are happy to help out further and assist you.
Please notice that building and distributing snaps is simpler, once it's setup.
And that snaps are largely platform independent, hence you can reach a much broader audience with snaps compared to the debs in the partner archive.

We did try creating the packages using the tutorial, but were not successful yet. Will resume the work on this and get back incase of any clarifications required. Thanks !!

Uploaded to xenial-proposed. btw, should we now request copying to focal?

this seems to have wound up in the Ubuntu xenial-proposed queue, rather than the partner queue, by mistake.

@dannf: Yes, I think once quickly tested (as usual) we should do the final copy to all LTSes with s390x support - so not only, xenial and bionic, but also focal - I agree.

I ran the usual quick test on the packages ibm-java80-jre and ibm-java80-jdk (both from "-proposed partner" on xenial in version 8.0.6.5) performing install, upgrade, package info, version, help, compile, verbose compile and program execution.
So far everything looks and works like expected. So 'Ubuntu Package Archive Administrators' please copy the packages over to xenial _and_ bionic partner release pocket and if already possible also to the focal partner release pocket - thanks!
