Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdm

Gdm / Ati crash Problem (debian version backup) will not accept '/' in password so I can't log in reboot.

The original crash is from Ati and Gdm no problem I can live with that.
However, the backup marked as debian boot loader will not accept my strange password
specifically it rejects '/' thus I can't log in. That is a problem.

This was an upgrade and I noted some notes above about passwords. Although I don't
feel it applies since unless it crashes my password works fine in Ubuntu/Solaris/OpenSolaris/OS X/Vista/Windows XP

Thanks
Jhawk
