libusb does not retrieve any devices

Bug Description

Neither lsusb nor self written programs using libusb get any device from libusb. Hal-device manager works though - so it seems be specific to libusb.
Running kernel Linux succubi 2.6.24-4-rt #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Mon Jan 14 19:42:34 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

This is because /proc/bus/usb is not mounted to usbfs. Manually doing so has libusb working again. Which module should mount it?

Strange thing is - I have another ubuntu installation which also has usbfs not mounted but there it works fine !?

Works with the correct kernel - although I think there should have been some backward compatibility.
