Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Being an Epiphany user, I'm used to having ctrl+enter open the chosen URL in a new tab. I would like something like that in Firefox. either using ctrl+enter or shift+enter.

Thanks.

Ctrl+Enter does open the selected link in a new tab in Firefox. Does this not work for you?

No. I've found out that Alt+Enter does, but neither Ctrl nor Shift do.

David, what is wrong with opening links with Alt instead of Ctrl or Shift?

The shortcuts work well !

If you have modified the URL of an existing tab : Ctrl+Enter
If you want to open a link in a new tab : Ctrl+LeftClick

So right now we have:

If you have modified the URL of an existing tab : Alt+Enter
If you want to open a link in a new tab : Ctrl+LeftClick

Well, actually that causes a bit of a consistency problem: which modifier key is supposed to be associated to "new tab"? Ctrl or alt?

It should either be:

If you have modified the URL of an existing tab : Ctrl+Enter
If you want to open a link in a new tab : Ctrl+LeftClick

Or:

If you have modified the URL of an existing tab : Alt+Enter
If you want to open a link in a new tab : Alt+LeftClick
