Bug Description

Binary package hint: gtk2-engines-murrine

I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 64-bit here. I installed VMware Server 1.04. When i use a murrine theme, e.g. one of these two

http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Melancholy+Murrine?content=70659
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Murrine+In+Gray?content=71145

the VMware Console looks like it's using GTK1 Widgets. Take a look at the screenshot. When i use the standard Ubuntu Human theme or any other theme, everything is fine.

$ vmware -v
/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware: /usr/lib/vmware/lib/libpng12.so.0/libpng12.so.0: no version information available (required by /usr/lib32/libcairo.so.2)
VMware Server 1.0.4 build-56528

$ dpkg -l gtk2-engines-murrine
ii gtk2-engines-m 0.53.1-0ubuntu cairo-based gtk+-2.0 theme engine

$ cat /etc/lsb-release

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and trying to help make Ubuntu better. However, it seems that you are not using a software package provided by the official Ubuntu repositories (themes from Gnome). The widgets are drawn from where ever the theme designer causes it. Because of this the Ubuntu project can not support or fix your particular bug. Please report this bug to the provider of the software package. Thanks!

If you are interested in learning more about software repositories and Ubuntu the following pages should be informative:
