linux-image-2.6.12-3-k7: Mustek Scanner MFS-06000CX not working anymore

Bug Description

Before I switched to Ubuntu I could actually use the scanner, but since then
I could use it as a door stop. Here's some dmesg output:

O.K., so what I found is that this error is not uncommon since version kernel
version 2.6.8 and that there is no patch yet.

If possible, please upgrade to Dapper's 2.6.15-7 kernel. If you do not want to
upgrade to Dapper, then you can also wait for the Dapper Flight 2 CD's, which
are due out within the next few days.

Let me know if this bug still exists with this kernel.
