Bug Description
If I remove an icon from the KDE 4.0 desktop, from the desktop (by either clicking the "x" button that appears upon hovering over the icon or right-clicking the icon and choosing "remove this icon"), it is temporarily deleted, but will return to its previous location when I reboot. In order to permanently remove it, I must do so either via CLI or from a file manager.
I'm currently using a fully updated 64-bit version of Kubuntu Hardy Alpha4 on a Gateway NX860XL laptop, with an Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS GPU, Nvidia's 169.09 driver (installed from the repos), and an Intel Core2 Duo T7200 CPU. This problem also occurs in the 64-bit version of Kubuntu Gutsy. I'm sorry if I've associated this report with the wrong package; I won't be offended if it is moved to its correct location :)

Probably related to this:
I got only one folder in ~/Desktop/ (nothing but that one folder in there, actually) and since some update, an additional instance of the widget (I assume those icons are widgets) is added on every start. So by now, I have got that icon on my desktop like 15 times or so.
