Bug Description

Binary package hint: hal

Driver and control of the sound card with "82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller".
Notebooch HP pavillon dv5000
It is impossible to disable the sound or adjust the volume will always be at the maximum.
The application of control displays changes requested but not translated into real effects.
It works only with direct control of VLC Media Player, not with gnome-volume-control 2.20.1.
