Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.24-7-generic

Pulseaudio performed dismally under 2.6.24-7
- dramatic audio skipping and dropouts in xine
- aplay freezes halfway through sound event playback
- mythtv failed to play audio completely

Downgrading to 2.6.24-5 corrected all playback issues.

I can't duplicate under 2.6.24-10, but I also can no longer duplicate under -7. I'll update later if I find something that triggers it again.
