[21.01.1] request to /meta/status?cur=%22WAITING%22 crashed

Subiquity 21.01.1 (amd64, build 2255) crashes when accessing some of its menus, e.g.:

F1 -> "Help on SSH access"

or the "Info" entry in the NIC context menu in the "Network connections" screen. I'm attaching the full /var/log/installer logs, however the traceback is:
