Unable to Power down

Bug Description

Hello,

Information about my Ubuntu-Server:
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=6.06
DISTRIB_CODENAME=dapper
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 6.06.2 LTS"

I have the following Problem with my Ubuntu:

If I shutdown my Ubuntu with "sudo shutdown -h now" my System didn't halt. Of course the Services were stop by Ubuntu, but in the end of the shutdown procedure there comes following message:

[8643.161941] Power down

But my PC didn't power down after this message. And in this situation i cant write anything on my keyboard. I think the half PC is powered down, but something is still running.

Do you need further Information ?

Did this issue begin recently? After an upgrade?

Recreate the problem, then we you have successfully restarted attach these files:
- /var/log/messages
- /var/log/kern.log
- /var/log/syslog

Hi,

befor this Problem i had installes Ubuntu 6.06.1 Desktop on the PC, and now after i had reinstalled the Pc with Ubuntu 6.06.2 Server ich had this Problem

Sorry, I should have asked for this before:
At what time did you execute the shutdown command and it didn't work? This is so I can find it specifically in the logs you provided.

I'm not seeing anything obviously wrong in the logs, however.
