Bug Description

Hi,

The CDDB Server is available under GPL from

http://www.freedb.org/en/download__server_software.4.html

It is a normal unix server software, and serves CD Information for most cdplayer programs. It would be very convinient to have it in the ubuntu repositories, because if you want to set up a machine for an offline user, it is nice to give him a copy of the current cddb, such that the cdplayer software can find titles and names even when not connected to the internet.

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. I am getting quite a few hits for cddb on the ubuntu packages website (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=default&section=all&arch=any&searchon=names&keywords=cddb), so i am not sure if this is already in the repositories. Could you make sure this package doesnt exist and get back to us?

All those packages available is CLIENT software to query the cddb, but the cddb SERVER is not yet packaged.

I've checked the package repositories before filing this bug. :-)
