gamix 1.99.p14 debian in 7.10, two soundcards, via8237 &audigy2 zs, too tall for window

Further info:
When first installed, gamix window is properly sized and arranged horizontally.
If changed to vertical with C-type the window becomes too tall and is unrecoverable with any setting in C-type.
Proper size, in horizontal, can be restored by uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling.
Don't touch that C-type button! (what does "C-type" mean, anyhow?)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 193064 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Wow! Talk about a dead issue!
I no longer have those sound cards, or that computer, and I'm certainly not running Ubuntu 7.10 these days!
I suppose the only way to kill this bug is to call it solved, when it really died of old age.
