Bug Description

On a 64bit Hardy host with 32bit ubuntu desktop guests (dapper - hardy), the mouse is not tracked properly in the guest. The host cursor is still seen, and a second cursor is seen within the guest. While this is confusing enough, the cursor within the guest doesn't always move as expected.

Hi,

Same problem with 32bit Hardy host and 32bit Gutsy client. Two cursors but not tracking correctly.

Need to specify the 'vmmouse' driver in xorg.conf in the guest. This is found in the xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse package.

This is a guest problem. Change your X configuration in the guest to use
vmmouse, and you're set. I'm told that this will be the default for
Hardy guests.
