Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

After today updates(08/02/21) the battery monitor isn't working(not showing) al boot time. If i connect the charger -> it shows, but it doesn't update the battery status. Also, if i disconnect the charger, and connect it again it works. (but not auto-updates).

Mm.. It was working fine (hal 0.5.10-5ubuntu6) until last hal update. The update to 0.5.10-5ubuntu7 is when i get this problem.

In other words, it's debian/patches/01_proc_sys_batteries.patch which causes this issue.

Got caught out by this again, any news on this being fixed? I'd prefer to have two batteries and have the status a bit out than one and the status constantly stuck on 100%.

Confirmed on Dell D820. It does seem to be there when I boot, but the battery charge remaining just doesn't update, and it doesnt give me any time estimates.

The icon does update when I plug/unplug the charger to indicate charging/discharging however.

Same problem, Acer Travelmate 2451LCi.

Notification icon only updates charge percentage when plugging in/out AC, otherwise stuck at last percentage.

Still same issue.. the last patch/update doesn't fix 'this' battery problem unfortunately.
