Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-artwork

Media: xUbuntu daily-live 2-23-08

Using the default xUbuntu XFCE theme (MurrinaStormCloud), noted a few color issues:

1). In nm-applet or Update Manger lists, it is difficult to tell the difference between selected and unselected items due to the low contrast of the check in the checkbox. Contrast appears correct if the item is highlighted (see attachment murrina checkbox issues 1.png).

2). When using Update Manager, when I check/uncheck an item, or if the window looses focus while an item is highlighted, the check in the checkbox disappears (see attachment murrina checkbox issues 2.png).

Woops. Looks like a partial duplicate of #162004.

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

In Xubuntu Hardy 8.04.1, in many areas, the selection boxes are checked using a black check against a dark grey background. These are very difficult to see as stated by Ryan.
These are visible in System -> Users and Groups, System -> Network, System -> Update Manager among others.

This theme will be dropped in maverick. It was only kept for smooth hardy -> lucid upgrades (the new default theme has been albatross for several cycles).
