Bug Description

Binary package hint: miro

Miro is running on Hardy, it's the current version on the website, and I got it from the official repositories (v1.1.2).
When I open it, the channels frame has a fixed size, no matter how I resized it the last time I opened Miro. That size is not enough to show all the characters for the channel names, which break to the next line (leaving the original line blank and overwriting the next line). Then neither channel can be accessed. I have to resize the channels frame (the left frame) to the right every time I open Miro so I can actually use it.

(Sorry, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to report this for Miro or Democracyplayer. The package name in my system is Miro, so I chose that one.)

Thank you for working this out. It turns out that bug #192286 is actually this bug. Since you've got a better description, I'm marking that bug as a duplicate of this one.

I confirm that bug#192286 is this bug , I tried resizeing the channels frame and that unscrambles the channels list , thanks for the workaround .

Confirming for Hardy Beta amd64. Makes Miro unusable, I was about to report this as "channel tree unresponsive".

Someone proposed updating miro to upstream version despite the freeze would fix this problem: Ubuntu Bug #213667.

Indeed. Miro 1.2.3 build from source isn't showing this regression.

It is fixed for me in Hardy - probably through hardy-proposed

I think this may have been a xulrunner issue. Anyway, it's certainly fixed for me in 1.2.6-0ubuntu1
