Bug Description

Here is the message i obtained when i tried to do a sudo apt-get dist-upgrade :

Préparation du remplacement de python2.5 2.5.1-6ubuntu1 (en utilisant .../python2.5_2.5.2-0ubuntu3_i386.deb) ...
Dépaquetage de la mise à jour de python2.5 ...
dpkg : erreur de traitement de /var/cache/apt/archives/python2.5_2.5.2-0ubuntu3_i386.deb (--unpack) :
 tentative de remplacement de « /usr/lib/python2.5/site.py », qui appartient aussi au paquet python2.5-minimal
dpkg-deb: sous-processus paste tué par le signal (Relais brisé (pipe))
Préparation du remplacement de python2.5-minimal 2.5.1-6ubuntu1 (en utilisant .../python2.5-minimal_2.5.2-0ubuntu3_i386.deb) ...
Dépaquetage de la mise à jour de python2.5-minimal ...

Yes, I get that too. :-D

Afterwards, apt-get upgrade gives:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  python2.5: Depends: python2.5-minimal (= 2.5.1-6ubuntu1) but 2.5.2-0ubuntu3 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, you are not using the most recent version of this package for your Ubuntu release. Please upgrade to the most recent version and let us know if you are still having this issue.

This should be fixed since python2.5 version 2.5.2-0ubuntu4. Therefore I will close this bug to "Fix Released".

If you still experience this problem feel free to reopen the bug by clicking on the status (Fix Released) and set the status back to "New".
