kded locks with 100% cpu when using 'mount automatically' in kde mounting preferences

I finally found the feature I've been looking for but it doesn't work. :)

When in media:/ or system:/media you can right click a device, go to properties->mounting. There you will find 'Mount automatically'. If you check it then next time you plug that device in kded goes ape with the CPU, and stops responding.

Of course this is still far better than just automounting everything, so please don't for a minute think I want that 'feature' back.
