This is a small change that has been merged here: https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-image/pull/40

ubuntu-image isn't part of the default Ubuntu experience so this change will impact very few users.

As one of the co-maintainers of ubuntu-image, I don't think it would be fair for me to review this FFe - so I'll leave it up to the other release team members. But with my release team hat I'd like to add some additional context: these changes have been build-tested and install-tested, with no problems visible. As mentioned by William, ubuntu-image is a tool which is only used for custom image builds, ubuntu-core official builds and the official classic pi builds. If the new changes cause a regression somewhere (which is highly unlikely), we would see it instantly with image builds failing. So I feel this is safe to land.

Given the extensive testing of ubuntu-image and how quickly an issue would be revealed I approve of this.

This bug was fixed in the package ubuntu-image - 2.2+22.04ubuntu2

---------------
ubuntu-image (2.2+22.04ubuntu2) jammy; urgency=medium

  * Fix failing autopkgtests:
    - Restrict test using snap prepare-image --arch=amd64 to only run on amd64
    - Increase size of 4k volume to have enough sectors to be valid fat32
