Bug Description

Ubuntu 22.04 was working fine until todays update.

The following packages will be upgraded:
  casper
1 to upgrade, 0 to newly install, 0 to remove and 0 not to upgrade.

Installing casper or lupin-casper on a running system is generally not supported. That being said, we did miss adding a Breaks/Replaces into casper after we integrated the lupin-casper bits into it, so we'll look into that indeed. But I'd recommend removing casper + lupin-casper from your system.

I have no idea what this is or why it's there. this was a fresh install of Jammy from the Ubuntu site. It was working for the last few weeks then broke yesterday when updating.

Have the same problem. Here is my terminal output:

If casper was left installed on the target system by the installer, that's an installer bug.

Can you please run 'apport-collect -p ubiquity 1969464' from the affected system so we can see the installer logs?

Thought it might get sorted with time and after GA of 22.04 but it looks like not.

Hi, I am on the process of rebuilding Ubuntu 22.04 with personal configuration and choice of package, using Cubic and I am also affected by this bug.
