Ubuntu 8.04 Server Guide (Draft)
Chapter 4: Networking
Time Synchronisation with NTP

I was setting up NTP on my server and was wondering ntp.conf wasn't created. Turned out it was the wrong package.

Says: "sudo apt-get install ntp".
Should be: "sudo apt-get install ntp-simple".

perhaps the server guide should specify what version of ubuntu it was
written for.

It is mentioned in the Installation section, and when the content is posted
to the web site it is in the 7.06, 7.10, 8.04, etc tab. The
ubuntu-serverguide package is written for that release, but since the guide
didn't have major updates for a couple of releases that may cause some
confusion.

This bug was fixed in the package ubuntu-docs - 8.03.2 in Ubuntu hardy.
