GUI hangs while generating a password

Bug Description

Binary package hint: keepassx

KeepassX 0.2.2-2 hangs when generating a new password with the password generator. The user interface becomes unresponsive. Depending on the options selected, this can take a while.

Please compute the password in a separate thread/process.

I cannot replicate this bug with the version installed in Gusty. Are you using this, or the version in Hardy? Please post the output of uname -a. Also, please post the settings within keepassx that causes the hang.

When you select "Use /dev/random" you might run out of entropy which blocks the GUI.

This is already fixed in v0.3.0
It's not yet in the Ubuntu repositories, but you can download it from my PPA:

The described bug is fixed, and now available in the Intrepid, so => Fix Released ;)
