cant stretch icons

Binary package hint: 3ddesktop

I cannot stretch the desktop icons. I also installed compiz settings manager but cannot get the shadows to work. All the other 3D effects work fine. When i restart, the windows have a pink shadow around them until i open the "compiz settings" + "window decorations" and then click on any of the default buttons. Everything seems a bit erratic and if i use ubuntu's "visual effects" and reset 3d off and then back on again it clears the pinky's & all other effects are fine. I gotta have me shadows. Anyway I'm sure you guy's are all very busy but it's one for the stack.
