Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Using 2.21.92 in current Hardy.
When Evolution starts the folder pane does not show any of my search/vfolders. If I select "Search->Create Search Folder from Search" from the menu, the folder pane updates with my currently existing search folders.

Thanks for your report, can you tell us a few easy steps in order to reproduce that behavior? Also does it works fine with another new user created on your system?, Thanks in advance.

I dug into this further since I had another machine upgraded to hardy that did not exhibit this behavior. It seems that the gconf schema was not updated correctly on system that had the issue.

/apps/evolution/display/enable_vfolders was set as an integer and not displayed at all in the evolution preference dialogs. Having seen the pref in my working systems and that is should be a boolean, made the change in gconf and the preference showed up as well as the vfolders. Any idea why my schema would be out of sync? I've don't generally do any manual edits to gconf. Unless other have similar issues I guess this can be chalked up to some upgrade hiccup on my system and closed.

thank you for the update, looks like a local upgrade issue indeed, closing the bug since that works correctly now
