Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org2

When I use a page number offset when inserting page numbers - the page number will not show on pages where the page number is larger than the total number of pages. For example in 24 page document I want to the page numbering to start with page 20 and number continues to page 44. However from 25-44 don't show any numbers - just the grey field shading. Example 2: chapter 3 of my thesis should start with page number 83 but the chapter has only 20 pages. No pagenumbers will be shown - just the grey field shading.

Work around: insert as many empty pages at the end of the document as the offset and print only the desired pages.
For example if the page number offset is 20, insert 20 empty pages at the end of the document.

Operating system: ubuntu gutsy
OOffice version: tried both 2.3.0-ubuntu5 and vanilla debian package from ooffice site version 2.3.1

Steps to repeat: Open new writer document, choose insert page number (this works) next insert page number with offset (ctrl f2 -> page -> page numbers -> as in page style -> offset 1 (does not work until), press ctrl end and than ctrl enter - page number with offset now shows on first page.

Incorrect way to add page numbers, you need to do this via Format->Paragraph->Breaks->Insert... Yes I agree it is dumb and very unintuitive but that is the way it is 'supposed' to be done at least for now.
