Bug Description

Everytime i I click on the tray icon a new search window is opened.
I think it could be more useful to minimize the current search window when clicked the second time on the tray icon, instead of opening a new one.
I don't see any benefit to have several search windows.

I agree. Many applications that have applets in the dock (eg Rhythmbox, XChat, Pidgin, Deluge) do not open multiple windows when clicked.

Agreed. What it should do is when you click the icon, it should focus the currently open window (if one is already open).

Has already been filled upstream, hopefully they will do something about it.

Seems that Tracker developement process is heavily slowed down.
I'm actually an happy Beagle user. Is there anyone who can propose to substitute tracker with beagle?
Or are we still afraid of the Mono fud?

tracker is not installed by default since jaunty not sure that justify an hundredpapercut task use

As Tracker is no longer installed by default, this does not qualify as a paper cut, as fixing it will not improve the usability of the default Ubuntu experience.
