Bug Description

Several DVB/ATSC/NTSC combo boards require firmware downloads to enable the ATSC portion.

Including all possible firmwares would undoubtedly cause licensing issues. The get_dvb_firmware script is referenced in several HOWTOs, and should be trivial to add to the backend packages.

This doesn't belong in the backend package of mythtv, but I agree it should be shipped with mythbuntu in some way.

Hi chunter952,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISOs are available from cdimage.ubuntu.com)

If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
Thanks in advance.

The output of lspci -vvnn would also be worth having.

You're right. Sorry, not sure how my script flagged this as an Xorg bug. Ignore the last comment.

Thank you for helping to improve Mythbuntu by opening this ticket. Unfortunately the Mythbuntu team does not foresee a time when they will be able to tackle this issue, so I am closing this ticket. Please do not let that action deter you from opening tickets on other issues that you find!
