Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdm

ompaul@hazza:~$ cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu hardy (development branch)"

gdm:
  Installed: 2.20.4-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 2.20.4-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 2.20.4-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://ie.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

GDM message screen has not got enough room between the logo and the dialogue box for the bad password message at 800*600

currently that message is behind the dialogue box

I would think that putting the message below the dialogue box would be the most sensible way forward here

currently no terminal functioning or menu so I can't test this on a gnome standard gdm
