Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

$lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 7.10
Release: 7.10

$ apt-cache policy firefox
firefox:
  Installed: 3.0~b4+nobinonly-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.0~b4+nobinonly-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.0~b4+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 0

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

When entering file:///home/<homedir> into firefox, the browser displays all files in that directory.

If a filename is very long (200+ char), firefox will word wrap the file over two lines but also abbreviate the filename by inserting "..." in the middle of the file name. If you hover over the file name, you will get the full file name.

I expect to be able to disable the word wrapping abbreviation that inserts the "..." without losing the word wrapping feature.
