[Hardy] gnome-terminal - Tab not auto-completing

Bug Description

I tested this on two machines: 7.10 and 8.04b

On 7.10
apt-g<tab> i<tab> land<tab>
and got:
apt-get install landscape-client

On 8.04b (up-to-date March 26th 2008)
apt-g<tab><tab><headscratch><tab>et i<tab><tab><tab><really?><tab>nstall land<tab><tab><this is not working>scape-client
In this scenario, none of my tabs were auto completed.

Please make sure this is corrected before Hardy's release, this is by default something that most users require.

Does it work after installing bash-completion package?
In that case this is a duplicate of bug #196021.

bash-completion makes this work. what is the best way to request this be added to Hardy's final release?
