Printing issue in Firefox 3 beta 4 in hardy

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Trying to print from Firefox 3 beta 4 in ubuntu 8.04 my firefox crashes and I have to restart the application. Printing a system test page or printing from opera browser works fine.

I used to experience the same problem. Printing a file immediately crashed Firefox. I played around with deactivating my extensions which enabled printing again. However, it is strange that after enabling all my extensions again printing still works.

Did you try disabling your extensions?

I found out this isn't a firefox bug. The same problem encountered I when printing from gedit, too. It looks like if the gnome print dialog was corrupted. The only gnome application printing correctly is Printing administration and the 'Print test page'...

The bug seems to be resolved in the final release of Hardy. I think we can close it.
