Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config

Hello,

with my usb keyboard, the numeric keyboard is not active on startup... i'm on hardy beta.

Hello and thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

As far as I know, what you describe is the default (and correct) behavior of the numeric keypad.
There are several ways to change this behavior, including using the numlockx software (you can install it with Synaptics or with the command 'sudo apt-get install numlockx').

For this reason I'm marking this bug as invalid for now. Feel free to report any other bug you may find.

to comment 1 : numlockx should not be required anymore since GNOME 2.14
/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/remember_numlock_state is already set to true and NumLock is always disabled
