Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Description of the problem:
update-manager shows all of the kernel changelog rather than the part of the changelog after the currently installed kernel.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start update-manager .
2. Click on a numbered package (e.g. linux-image-2.6.24-12-generic )
3. Make sure "Description of update" is open and that the changes tab is selected.

Expected results:
Only to see changelog from linux-image-generic 2.6.24.12.13 onwards.

Actual results:
Changelog from [2.6.22-1.1] onwards is shown. The first highlighted heading appears to be Version 2.6.24-1.1: .

How reproducible is this problem?
It is reproducible every time.

Version information:
linux-image-generic 2.6.24.12.13
update-manager 1:0.87.16

I forgot to add that update-manager is slow to display and uses a lot of CPU when selecting a package with a non-truncated changelog. Additionally the distro was Ubuntu hardy (development branch).

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04?
