Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Trying to open a document on an SFTP share. I used Nautilus to mount it (File / Connect to Server / SSH...). I'm able to open pdf (evince), jpg (eog) and txt (gedit) files just fine. When I select an OpenOffice.org document, however, OOo asks for a password for the SFTP share (with the correct username), then the same dialog comes back 2 more times with an empty username, then I get a "General internet error has occurred." message.

It works fine for me here. Does installing the 'openoffice.org' meta-package help resolve the problem?

Thanks,

I've recreated this bug using openoffice.org package version 2.4.0-3ubuntu6 on Hardy Heron. One thing to note is that I am connecting as a different user name on the remote system than I am logged in as on the local system. Additionally, the username field becomes blank in the 2nd and 3rd connection attempts.

Using public and private key authentication I don't run into this. Is that what you tested with Chris?
