Bug Description

When html is _not_ set in a new message, and the user copies fields from
openoffice calc, the fields looks alright. But when the message is sent, it
looks all garblet at the recieving end.
To put it another way. When html is _not_ set, everything in the input window
should just be normal text, with tabs and returns.

Thanks for your bug. That works fine for me. What version of openoffice/ubuntu
are you using? Do you use "normal" or "preformated" from the toolbar below the
subjet?

Something is definitely a bit odd here. Attached is an example - the left is what I saw when I was editting (non HTML), the right is what was received. I tried with both normal and preformat, but it was the same result.

I use "normal"..

I do not even know what it is 'preformat' is.

The simple problem is that when the formatting is not html, it should behave exactly like gedit. Is that assumption correct?

Also - in the screenshot Richard Quirk provided, it is very easy to see that their is a problem - at least with 'normal' selected.

If the problem can be fixed by choosing preformated, or in some other way - it is very unintuitive and should be investigated in a usability test.
