Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

compiz crashed while opening and closing kdvi a lot of times (Common procedure while using it in conjunction with kile for latex typesetting). Suddenly gnome-applet turns grey(not responding, clock freezes) and all other programs are non responding. I can still move the mouse. About 10-15 seconds pass and compiz crashes; metacity is loaded and everything is back to normal, a bug repport is uploaded.

By the way: Compiz is/was set to EXTRA effects. I have tried reproducing the bug by opening and closing kdvi a lot of times with no success. I'll let you know if anything further crashes occur.
