Middle click opens same page twice

Bug Description

Sometimes, when I middle-click a link to open in a new tab, firefox opens the page twice (in 2 tabs).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Does this still happen to you with Firefox 3.0.1? I have not observed such behavior in the final release.

This still happens for me in Firefox 3.6.13. I am using Firefox from the Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit repositories.
